Position Overview:

We are hiring a Human Resources and Brand Coordinator to support Avana’s large-scale growth plans. The successful applicant will succeed in a fast-paced progressive career, enjoy working with people in a team environment and lead with excellence. The Human Resources and Brand Coordinator is a hybrid role that will report directly to the Director, Human Resources, while working closely alongside the Director, Brand. This is a full-time salary role to support Avana’s human resources and brand divisions as we expand throughout Western Canada.

First and foremost, we want someone who will know how to convey Avana’s exceptional value proposition to current staff and potential recruits, through Human Resources best practices. Secondly, our ideal candidate will need to be brave and passionate as they will be required to challenge the status quo, by using marketing as a tool to amplify Avana’s purpose. This individual will be tasked with an array of duties, ranging from policy implementation to social media marketing.  We will need our successful candidate to be nimble and able to learn while building with us. The one thing we can guarantee in this position is that you will gain experience and have touchpoints with almost all facets of the organization. Due to the nature of this role, it will be the responsibility of this individual, in collaboration with the Human Resources division and the Brand division, to energize Team Avana through internal marketing and culture curation efforts. No, this role is not for the faint of heart, it is for the brave who want to do more than increase a company’s ROI, both internally and externally. We at Avana are just as interested in ROE (Return on Emotion) as we are ROI, if not more.
