Advocacy for women in the workforce.
We want to see women and children supported. It’s simple. We want more opportunities for women to enter and thrive in the workforce. In Saskatchewan alone, women represent over half of the working population but face disproportionate challenges to their male counterparts. We need a government and representation in our province that is openly feminist and fighting for equality.
One of the topics we are most passionate about remains a second thought for most Federal political parties – except one. Canada’s National Housing Strategy, introduced in 2017, has created more opportunities regarding affordable housing solutions. And with their announcement of the Rapid Housing Initiative, over 9,200 affordable units will be created and funded – all by a Liberal government.
Affordable housing is
Active fight against climate change.
Climate change is real. It’s happening all around us, and we want to ensure decisions are being made to guarantee a brighter, more environmentally conscious future for our generations to come. By putting our first and only climate plan into action, the Liberal party has started and led the climate change fight in Canada. Combatting pollution, incentivizing green alternatives, cutting emissions, and investigating cleaner power sources, to name a few of their efforts.
Our future generations need to be given the property opportunities to thrive from a young age, which begins in the earliest stages of life. The importance of childcare has been proven time and time again, and we need decision-makers who understand. The proposed $10 a day Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care System is vital to our success as a country. Not only does this alleviate some of the pressure to find affordable childcare, but this also allows all children to have equal opportunity to receive the highest level of care.
